Many houses were raided simultaneously in the Nusaybin district of Mardin early this morning.  Şoreş Saltıkalp, Engit Aykut, Mehmet Emin Nergiz and Namet Doğan and a person whose name could not be learned were detained during the raids. It was learned that 5 people were taken into custody within the scope of the investigation on grounds that they participated in demonstrations during the curfews implemented in 2015 and 2016.

 

While 5 people were taken to the District Police Department TEM Branch, it was stated that a "confidentiality" decision was brought to the investigation file and a 24-hour lawyer restriction decision was taken.

 

URFA

 

Mazlum Asaf Çevik, Osman Özlü and 2 unidentified people were taken into custody during the house raids in Suruç district of Urfa. It was stated that the detainees were taken into custody in accordance with the statements given by a person.

 

Yesterday, Mehmet Tavas and his wife Kıymet Tavas were detained within the scope of the operation, which was carried out with similar claims.

 

It was learned that 6 people taken into custody are being held at the Provincial Security Directorate.
