VAN - While the current situation of the 13 people who are assumed to have died of hypothermia can not be learned, human traffickers who called one of the refugees uncle Mihemmed Sheıkh Nebi, offered to deliver the bodies of their loved ones if they are willing to pay for them. On the other hand, new images of the refugees were obtained.

The current situation of the 13 refugees who froze to death remains unknown even though 6 days have passed since their death. UMKE and AFAD teams made examinations on the site for the refugees trying to cross the border from Iran to Turkey. The teams announced that further examination was not possible due to the storm at the region. The teams that are still kept waiting at Çaldıran, will conduct search and rescue operation following the improvement of the weather conditions.

Meeting with the District Governorship and military officials on the subject, İHD Van Branch Head Murat Melet said that the officials told them that the teams could not go to the region where the immigrants were due to the weather conditions.

'TRAFFİCKERS MIGHT HAVE TOOK THEM HOSTAGE'

Mihemmed Sheıkh Nebi, uncle of one of the missing 3 Kobané residents Sheıkh Abdülrahman Abdo, told that he believed that the traffickers are still holding their relatives hostage for money.  Sheıkh Nebi who spoke to the authorities many times, said they have been recieving tips for 6 days but non of them turned out to be true.

'WE BELIEVE THEY ARE ALIVE'

Stating that the trafficker who called him said all 13 refugees had died but they could not confirm the information, Sheıkh Nebi said: "The people who called us told that the bodies of the 13 refugees are at the hospitals. We called all of the hospitals and could not find them. We spoke to both the district governor and the military officials. They said they could not investigate due to adverse weather conditions. There are 3 options. One is the traffickers want ransom. Or they were captured in Iran or they are dead. But we believe they are alive."

'THEY WANT MONEY'

Sheıkh Nebi, stating that he has been recieving calls from different numbers for days, said: "They told us that no one would go and claim those bodies and they said they could retrieve the bodies and deliver them to us if we pay them. We told them we would not go to the border without the escort of the state officials. I hope we can recieve information about these people soon."

Sheıkh Nebi who stated that they have hope, said: "Everyone is saying different things right now. We believe the truth will out soon."

On the other hand images of Sheıkh Abdülrahman Abdo, Hendreen İbish çifti ve Azad Hemze turned up recently and it shows that the 3 refugees are preparing to cross the border. The fact that they declare their names in front of the cameras of their friend draws attention.
