Death fast against torture in Elazığ Prison

DİYARBAKIR - Redda Adsizi mother of Mehmet Adsiz who has been on a death fast in Elazığ No 1 Prison because of the torture he is subjected to for 18 days, said: "They must stop torturing our children. İHD and the political parties must find a solution for that."

 
Mehmet Adsiz who made a phone call with his family from Elazığ Prison, announced that he has been on a death fast since July 29. His mother who told that he was being tortured in Adana Kürkçüler Prison, Diyarbakır Type D, Osmaniye Type T and Balıkesir Burhaniye Type C Prisons, said the torture is systematic. 
 
 
Mother Adsiz who was able to see her son after 4 months because of a visitation ban, said: "He told me that the guards tied up his hands and feets and beat him and his eardrums burst due to the beating. He said he had cut his wrists during a nervous breakdown because of the torture and the guards kept torturing him in front of the doctors, who did nothing to help my son.They are torturing him under the Turkish flag, claiming they are the state and no one can do anything about it."
 
 
Mother Adsiz who stated that his son is now on a death fast protesting the torture since July 29, said: "They must stop torturing our children. İHD and the political parties must find a solution for that."
