İSTANBUL - Kadıköy Democracy Assembly member Fidan Üredi, stating that the provocations of the enemies of the nature will not prevent the brotherhood of Kaz Mountains and Hasankeyf, stated that a mass mobilization front must be established against the profit greed of capitalism.

 

Kadikoy Democracy Assembly met in front of Süreyya Opera House and protested the carnage in Kaz Mountains. “The past and the future are disappearing for the sake of rent. 'Resist for Hasankeyf, Salda and Kaz Mountains! ' banner was used in the rally many citizens attended. Kadıköy Democracy Assembly member Fidan Üredi, stating that the provocations of the enemies of the nature will not prevent the brotherhood of Kaz Mountains and Hasankeyf, stated that a mass mobilization front must be established against the profit greed of capitalism. 

 

Üredi emphasizing that the Ilısu Dam Project, which is under construction in Hasankeyf, disrupts the historical heritage and natural texture, stated that the provocation of the enemies of the nature will never succeed to prevent the brotherhood of Hasankeyf and Kaz Mountains. Üredi underlining the importance of internationalist solidarity against the gold mining, said everyone should unite and stand against this pillage for their future. Üredi, stating that they visited Kaz Mountains with Kadıköy Democracy Assembly yesterday, said they will visit again in the upcoming days for solidarity and support.

 

Stating that they will not allow the massacres of nature, Uredi reminded that the ecological struggle is a part of the struggle for democracy. Üredi recalled how people managed to succeed in June 23 elections, said the people must unite and fight for the mountains, forests, plains and protect them from the plunderers.
