URFA - The traces of the armed conflict and the torture are still visible in Halfeti. According to the information recieved, the house where the armed conflict happened is under surveilence with the cameras. The dried blood in the garden attracts attention.

 
The citizens were not allowed to leave the house after the armed conflict for 2 days during the police blockade. The house is unrecognizable with bullet wholes, hand grenades and from the fire caused by the tear gas.
 
According to the citizens living in the village, the soldiars came to the village 4 days before the incident, talking to the villagers and checking them from the general information screening.
 
According to the villagers, there were helicopters flying over the village at around 02.20 on May 18, and after a while the soldiars blockaded the village. Villagers say around 04.30 the sounds of the gun fire and the bombs started.
 
Citizens stating that the armed conflict took about 2 hours, said then came the house raids. The citizens, stating that they could not leave the house in fear, they hid their children in some safe spots in the house, and that the soldiars did not allow them to get out of the house in the morning. A citizen who stated that they were not allowed out of their houses until 14.00, said they could not get near the house where the armed conflict took place. The same citizen said: "They did not allow us out of the village as well. We were kept under captitivy." 
 
The house of Zeki Alakuş where the armed conflict took place is unrecognizable. The house is being surveiled with cameras and there are dried blood stains all over the garden.
 
Ruken Deniz who lives in Bozova, Tutluca district, said they tear gassed her house before the raid, which effected the children and the elderly a lot, says 'They came to execute us, not to take us under custody. They broke down the doors after tear gassing the whole house, pointing guns at the children and the elderly and asked 'where are the guns, tell us where you hid them'. Deniz Ruken said:  "if any of the men were at the house at that time, they would execute them."
