ANKARA- HDP former Co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş made a call from the prison he is being kept at and said: " You are the direct determinant of this election. Our determinant influence is not only in the cities taken from the elected and given to trustees, but in the cities we don't have candidates. There is a historical opportunity ahead of us. The strategic votes we will use in the cities we do not have candidates, will be an indicator of our strength."

People's Democratic Party (HDP) former Co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş, who is currently incarcerated, made a call from his twitter account and said: " Hello everyone. I know who got upset, sometimes rebelled during this election period. And you are right to do so. But we are now in a situation that exceeds this. Ballot boxes will be installed on sunday. Please do not take your daily political debates with you when you go to the ballot boxes. Leave them behind. Past is not entirely unimportant. We should never forget what we have been through, what we have seen. But future is more important. I am calling on to all our voters to support the election strategy of our party, HDP, for a better future.

You are the direct determinant of this election. Our determinant influence is not only in the cities taken from the elected and given to trustees, but in the cities we don't have candidates. There is a historical opportunity ahead of us. The strategic votes we will use in the cities we do not have candidates, will be an indicator of our strength. In places where our party does not nominate a candidate, you will vote for the candidate our party advises you and you will determine the election results of both your location and general. All of our young friends, especially those who will vote for the first time. I'm calling on to you. Let's not think ’My vote won't change anything'. Please go to the ballot box and vote. I trust you.

My dear citizens; I will not be able to be with you on the night of the election but I will be looking at the same screen with you from my prison cell in Edirne. Hoping to see the votes you cast that will make us all happier in those screens. Love and greeting."
