67 day long hunger striker: We are determined to break the isolation

ELAZIĞ- Metin Serhat who has been on a hunger strike dor 67 days in Elazığ No 1 Type T Closed Prison who stated that they have still not been given anything else but sugar and lemons, said 'We are determined to break the isolation'.

 
 
The hunger strike of Democratic Society Congress (DTK)  Co-chair and People's Democratic Party (HDP) Leyla Güven who is protesting the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan is continuing on its 105th day. 321 prisoners are continuing their  hunger strike in over 60 prisons with the demand of terminating the isolation.
 
 
Metin Serhat ,Harun Alkan and Musa Candemir are on a hunger strike in Elazığ No 1 Type T Closed Prison since December 16, 2018.İsa Eşsiz, Murat Ergen ,Ergül Tuncay are on a hunger strike since January 5.
 
Metin Serhat who said their morale is high in a phonecall he made with his family, said: "There are 6 of us on indefinite non-rotating hunger strike here. We are 2 groups.Our group is on the 67th day while the other group is on the 47th. 
 
Serhat who stated that the pressure on them have been increasing lately, said: "The pressure increased in the last 2 weeks. They raided our wards 4-5 times in this 2 weeks. They turned the place inside out and it took most of our energy to tidy the place. They are trying to tire us and wear us down."
 
Serhat who stated that they are very determined to see through it to the end, said: "We are very determined to break the isolation and we won't be stopping until we do so."
