BURSA- The hunger striker prisoners in Bursa Type H Closed Prison,stated that they are happy and their morale is high, said: "Those who consider themselves progressive, pro-democracy,pro-law must be a part in this grandiose prcess and support it."

 

The hunger strike of Democratic Society Congress (DTK)  Co-chair and People's Democratic Party (HDP) Leyla Güven who is protesting the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan is continuing on its 103rd day. The hunger strike of the prisoners in different prisons is continuing as well.

 

The hunger striker prisoner in Bursa Type H Closed Prison said they will continue the hunger strike until their demand is met.

 

Prisoner Süleyman Saydan (25) has been on a hunger strike since December 28, 2018 and has 4 more years to serve. Saydan, who gave information about his hunger strike action, stated that his blood pressure and weight measurements are being done  and  salt, sugar and vitamin B12 is given.

 

 Saydan said: "I have never felt more happy, joyful and peacefull in my whole life before I started this hunger strike. To participate in this hunger strike initiated by Leyla Güven with the demand of terminating the isolation is a source of joy for me.I will end the hunger strike when Mr. Öcalan is allowed to see his family and lawyers. Those who consider themselves progressive, pro-democracy,pro-law must be a part in this grandiose prcess and support it and make our voice be heard."
