'3 thousand 110 violations of rights occured in 2018'

ANKARA- According to the 2018 Violation of Rights Report announced by Sezgin Tanrıkulu from CHP, 3 thousand 110 violations occured in year 2018. According to the report there are 258 journalists detained.
 
118 PEOPLE DIED IN PRISONS
 
According to the report, 4 people died under custody, 118 people died in prisons. While 20 people died in random firing, stop warning, extrajudicial executions, 12 people were injured 2 of them being underage. Again, according to the report, 2 people died by ”Landmines, derelict bombs and explosives" and 21 people were injured. 189 people were injured in 'Illegal organization attacks'. 2 People lost their lives in ”Murder by unknown assailants" and 1 person was injured. 565 people lost their lives in armed conflicts, 466 people were injured.
 
8 PEOPLE DIED BY THE POLICE AND MILITARY VEHICLES
 
8 people died by the police or military vehicles. 2 of them were underage. 18 people were injured by the vehicles. 6 soldiars lost their lives by "Suspicious Soldiar Deaths".
 
1.923 PEOPLE DIED WORKING
 
According to the report, while 1.923 died working, 13 people lost their lives in civil conflicts and 29 were injured.
 
440  WOMEN'S RIGHTS VIOLATIONS OCCURED
 
According to the report, while 440 women's rights violations occured, 3 hate crimes and 88 immigrants right violations occured.
 
TORTURE AND MALTREATMENT
 
Torture and ill-treatment in prisons were also included. According to the report, there were torture in the custody of 1,100 detainees and torture and ill-treatment in prisons were shown as at least 159.
 
258 JOURNALISTS IN PRISONS
 
According to the shared data, the number of journalists, writers and publishers convicted  as part of freedom of thought were 127, the number of journalists acquitted was 48, the number of journalists sued was at least 9, journalists taken under costody was 150 and number of journalists imprisoned was 258.
 
1.377 VIOLATION OF RIGHTS IN SOCIAL MEDIA SHARES
 
According to the repoty, peple taken under custody and being arrested for events falling within the scope of freedom of expression is 22, academicians imprisoned is 370, people taken under custody and being arrested for social media shares are at least 1.377, press foundations raided is 7 and the number of  banned newspapers is 1.
