RIHA - Fatma Öcalan, the sister of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, who has not been heard from in İmralı Prison for 31 months, said: "I have not seen him for 8 years, I want to meet my brother."

The international conspiracy, which started with PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan's removal from Syria on October 9, 1998 and continued with his bringing him to Turkey on February 15, has passed its 25th year. Abdullah Öcalan, who is held in severe isolation conditions in İmralı Type F High Security Prison in Turkey, where he was brought following the conspiracy developed in partnership with international forces, has not been allowed to meet with his family and lawyers for 31 months. The isolation practice, which has been going on for 25 years, has now turned into a lack of news.

NO NEWS FROM ÖCALAN FOR 31 MONTHS

Emphasizing that the Constitution was violated with the aggravated isolation in İmralı, 81-year-old Mehmet Reşit Öcalan, one of the relatives of the PKK Leader said: “According to the law, every prisoner has the right to meet with his lawyer and family, but there has been no news from the President for more than 30 months. We can only lift this isolation with social reaction. All rights must stand up against isolation. Let's not have any expectations from anyone. CHP, which always talks about justice; When it comes to the President and the Kurdish people, it is worse than the AKP. That's why let's rely only on our own strength. Kurds can achieve something by resisting. Let's not trust anyone, no one will do anything for us."

'I HAVEN'T SEEN MY BROTHER FOR 8 YEARS'

Fatma Öcalan (70), sister of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, stated that she last met with her brother 8 years ago and said: “The last time I went to İmralı in a wheelchair and met with my brother. I haven't seen my brother for 8 years. We cannot hear any news from my brother because the state prohibits family and lawyer visits. We don't know how his health is, whether he is alive or not. We are very worried. Not only us, everyone is wondering about the situation. That's why we want to meet with him as soon as possible. It is a legal right to meet with his family and lawyer, this right must be ensured."
