DİYARBAKIR- The Kurdish Freedom and Democracy Alliance, condemned Turkey's attack on Rojava with SİHAs, called on the EU and the UN to take a stand against Turkey.

The Kurdish Freedom and Democracy Alliance issued a written statement regarding the death of Qamishlo Canton Co-chair Yusra Derwêş, his deputy Leyman Şiwêş and Syriac Fırat Tuma in the attack carried out by Turkey with an Armed Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (SİHA) on 20 June.

'AIM IS TO END THE STATUS'

Emphasizing that Turkey has been searching for a new military invasion in Northern and Eastern Syria for a long time, the statement said that Russia, Turkey and Iran were guarantors in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, during the attack that targeted Qamishlo Canton Co-chair Yusra Derwêş and his companions. It was pointed out that the 20th meeting for the purpose of “normalization”, which the Syrian government also attended recently, was held.

In the statement, regarding the attack on the day of the meeting, "This situation shows that Turkey's aim is not a solution and normalization in Syria and Rojava. The only thing that Turkey understood as a 'solution' from the very beginning is to end the status of Autonomous Rojava today, and the Kurdistan Regional Government tomorrow."

CALL FOR ATTENTION TO UN AND EU

In the statement, which called for the United Nations (UN) and the European Union (EU) to take a stand, the following was noted: "The attack is not only the tyranny of 'the power is mine, I do not know the law', but also the trampling of international law. Violence and bullying have been tried for a hundred years and deepened the deadlock. Our call to the government; Recognize the Kurdish gains at home and in other parts of Kurdistan and make peace with its people. This is not only for the benefit of our people, but also for the benefit of the peoples of Türkiye. If we are millennial brothers and sisters, recognizing the achievements of your brothers and sisters pave the way for a peaceful democratic solution inside. We also call on the UN and the EU; Take a stand against Turkey's aggression, which does not recognize international norms and law. We call on our people in the four parts of Kurdistan and the diaspora to show solidarity with Rojava against the attacks. Today is the day of national unity and joint action.”

At the end of the statement, the racist attack against Kurdish workers in Trabzon was also mentioned and it was said: "We underline that this attack is the product of anti-Kurdish racist nationalist propaganda that culminated in the elections."
