ANKARA - Stating that the AKP-MHP government was on the premise of "The more Kurds I kill, the longer I can live." PYD Co-Chair Salih Müslim said: "Turkey's attacks will revive ISIS."

The air strikes launched by Turkey on Northern and Eastern Syria on November 20 continue. Finally, Minix Airport, the base where the International Coalition and YAT forces are located in Hesekê, an oil field in Tirbespiyê and a school in Kobanê were bombed yesterday. In the footage obtained from the airstrikes, it was recorded that phosphorus bombs were used in Shera. Sharing the balance sheet of the last 24 hours on November 22 regarding Turkey's attacks, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) noted that there were 6 warplane attacks. The balance sheet also stated that Tatmeraş village, south of Afrin, was the target of a chemical weapon attack.

At least 14 regime soldiers, along with many civilians, were killed in Turkey's airstrikes, and many civilian settlements were damaged, including wheat barns and a hospital.

EXPLANATION FROM ERDOĞAN ON THE LAND ATTACK

After his visit to Qatar, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who made a statement about the attacks, threatened land attacks against Northern and Eastern Syria.

Evaluating Turkey's invasion attacks against Northern and Eastern Syria to the Mesopotamia Agency (MA), Partiya Yekîtiya Demokrat (Democratic Unity Party-PYD) Co-Chair Salih Müslim gave the message that the peoples of Rojava will resist the attacks.

THE AWAKENING OF THE KURDS

Stating that Turkey's invasion attacks against Northern and Eastern Syria have not just begun and have spread to a historical process, Müslim said: “These attacks have actually been going on for a hundred years. The Turkish state is attacking the Kurds in various ways with the aim of exterminating them and denying them the right to live. Recently, massacre attacks have started everywhere due to the awakening of the Kurds. Attacks against Rojava are also included in this."

‘THE CAPITAL OF THE GOVERNMENT IS THE HOSTILITY TOWARDS KURDS

Pointing out that fascism has come to power in Turkey, Müslim said: "The AKP-MHP government ignores the ways of thinking that contradicts itself in the society and tries to attract it to itself through hostility to the Kurds. It does this both abroad and inside. The capital of the government is anti-Kurdish hatred. The government has been trying to prolong the coalition's rule through hostility to Kurds, because it has gone bankrupt everywhere. It went bankrupt in domestic and foreign politics. Especially as the elections approach, the more Kurds I kill, the longer I can live."

THE RESISTANCE OF THE KURDISH PEOPLE

Reminding that after the air strikes, Erdogan signaled that land attacks against Northern and Eastern Syria might start in the future, Müslim said: “It is likely that they will make such an attempt. We don't take orders from anyone. It does what it has without taking into account the cyclical-political trends in the world. The resistance of the Kurdish people will stand against it.”

CIVIL MASSACRE

Noting that 11 civilians lost their lives in Derik as a result of the attacks launched by Turkey, Müslim said: "The two of them were the guards of the electricity station there. The crowd that went to rescue them was also fired upon. 11 people, including one journalist, were martyred. It also attacked houses in Kobanê. In addition, the Syrian regime soldiers were attacked."

WILL THE ATTACKS REVIEW ISIS?

Pointing to the public concerns that the attacks will revive ISIS and its derivatives in Rojava, Muslim said: “All of the gangs here are already backed by Turkey. They get both their equipment and financial support from Turkey. One of the aims of these attacks may be to reach the prisons and release the ISIS members. In addition, the longer these attacks continue, the more ISIS rises. We saw it in Deyrîzor, so many civilians were martyred as a result of ISIS attacks.”

Reminding the Sina Prison raid in Hesekê, which was stated to have been organized in areas under the control of ISIS by Turkey, Müslim said: "121 people lost their lives in the ISIS raid on Sinai Prison on January 20 in Hesekê, which is under the administration of the Syrian Democratic Council in Northern Syria. ISIS has bases and training camps in the regions occupied by Turkey. They are all organizing there.”

'WE WILL STAY AT OUR PLACE AGAINST ATTACKS'

Underlining that the peoples of Northern and Eastern Syria will resist Turkey's invasion attacks by acting together with the YPG/YPJ, Müslim said: “The people will not leave their villages and will take their weapons and act as guards. One of the biggest aims of these attacks is to evacuate people from villages and cities by evacuating them. Resistance to this will be to stay in place. YPG is doing its job. The people will also do their duty, but the SDF has no weapons to prevent air strikes because this is an interstate issue and these weapons are not given. However, in a possible ground attack, the people will be able to protect themselves.”

AIRSPACE OPENS

Noting that Turkey's calls for the closure of the airspaces used in the attacks have been ongoing since the very beginning, Muslim said: "Do they not want to offend Turkey, or do they remain silent in line with their own interests? We have wanted it for a long time, but it never happened.”
