ANKARA - Stating that the Kobané case is a conspiracy, HDP Co-Chair Mithat Sancar said: "It is an effort to eliminate the HDP's right to democratic politics and the Kurdish people's claim to be a subject in politics."
Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Co-Chairperson Mithat Sancar spoke about the agenda at his party's parliamentary group meeting. Stating that the siege against the HDP and democratic politics continues, Sancar said that the indictment of the Kobanê Case, just like the law suit against the HDP to ban the party, is unfounded. Sancar said: "Everyday we are faced with new moves. No matter what they do, they will not be able to achieve what they want. The conspiracy case starts on April 26 over incidents that happened 6 years ago."
KOBANÊ CASE
Reminding the process of filing the lawsuit, Sancar continued: "Why was this law suit filed? ISIS attacked Kobané one month after the Shengal massacre. They wanted to commit genocide on the people living there, especially the Kurds. They were going to commit anew genocide. The whole world and Turkey stood up against these attacks. Calls were being made, protests were being organized. The people of Turkey and the forces of democracy were using their right to assemble to stop the brutality, demanding the government to allow the people to flee to Turkey from the border freely. The Imrali peace process was continuing, while dialogue between members of our national committee and the government was also taking place. This is not a legal case. This is then ew and most important junction of the coup plan that has been going on for years. We are face to face with a conspiracy case.
THE LAW SUIT IS DOOMED TO COLLAPSE
It is an effort to eliminate the HDP's right to democratic politics and the Kurdish people's claim to be a subject in politics. There is no law, no truth, no document, information and evidence in this conspiracy case. Just like the closure case, this case is baseless and doomed to collapse.
