Police operation against Kurdish politicians: Scores under custody 2020-05-22 11:20:50   DİYARBAKIR - A large number of people, including the executives of TJA and Rosa Women's Association and former Co-Chair of the DBP, were detained as part of the Diyarbakır-based operation.   Within the scope of an investigation conducted in Diyarbakır, police raided the houses of the executives and members of Free Women's Movement (TJA) and the Rosa Women's Association. The search continued for hours during the raid carried out around 4 AM in the morning.   In the raid carried out in Karaköprü district of Urfa, founding member of the Rosa Women's Association, Narin Gezgör, founder of the Rosa Women's Association, Ayla Akat Ata, President of the Rosa Women's Association, Adalet Kaya and TJA activist Gülcihan Şimşek were taken into custody.   It was learned that Narin Gezgör, who was taken into custody in Urfa, will be brought to the Diyarbakır Police Headquarters after their health checks.   Democratic Regions Party (DBP) former Co-Chair Mehmet Arslan, HDP Central Executive Committee Member Özlem Gündüz, Kurdish politician Celal Yoldaş and Nazile Tursun were also detained during the raids on their homes.   It was stated that the number of politicians detained within the scope of the operation could increase.
