Leyla Güven: Stay home during Ramadan Bairam 2020-05-17 16:23:21 DİYARBAKIR- Reminding that the coronavirus threat is far from being eliminated, DTK Co-Chair Leyla Güven raised a call for the citizens to stay home during the Ramadan Bairam or known as the Ramadan Festival, which is celebrated as the end of the fasting that lasted for the whole month of Ramadan) Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-Chair Leyla Güven, shared a video message in her social media account. In the video, Güven was watched as she warned people to be aware of the ungoing risk of COVID-19 and she said: "Let us call our loved ones, rather than direct visits during Ramadan Bairam. Do not leave our houses, take our own measures."   Güven's video meassge also took attention to the death toll in Kurdistan: "Our beloved people, corona (virus) threat continues. In the last two months we have lost many of our people. There is an increase the infection cases all over Kurdistan. We have 80 positive cases in Şırnak. And in Diyarbakır, 37 new coronavirus cases has been diagnosed after a memorial service. The pandemic continues to spread in Kurdistan. The state does not take adequate measures in Kurdistan. So let us take our own measures, let us be vigilant and careful, let us warn our neighbors and take care of each other. Let us embrace the Fellow Family campaing. We are in the eve of Ramadan Bairam. In this eve of the fest, let us not make direct visits to our beloved ones. Rather than direct visits, let us call our loved ones and do not leave our houses, take our own measures."
