Turkish Directorate of Religious Affairs: Travels to Umrah are stopped since February 27

	ANKARA- Turkish directorate of religious affairs said in a statement regarding Umrah that the departures from Turkey to Umrah have not been allowed since February 27 2020.

	The Directorate declared a new statement after a person returning from Umrah was diagnosed with Coronavirus and thousands of people returning from Umrah were quarantined. In the statement of the Directorate of Religious Affairs, it was announced that “As of 27 February 2020, Umrah departures from our country were stopped and no travel for Umrah was allowed after this date”.

	Directorate also announced about the returns: "The return dates of those who are in Saudi Arabia with 20-30 day tours, were taken to earlier dates than planned."

	On the other hand, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said that the tests were performed on Umrah returners and the results were expected to come out.
