Threat messages to 8 HDP MPs from an account called JITEM 2020-03-10 12:36:01 VAN – A social media account called 'JİTEM' sent threat messages to 8 HDP MPs. HDP MPs filing criminal complaint about the accounts via their attorneys said these threats are reflections of AKP turning back to 90s.   Threat messages were sent to the People's Democratic Party (HDP) deputies this time after the sociologist Veli Saçılık was threatened by some social media accounts that claims to be the members of Grey Wolves. (A Turkish Nationalist organization)   HDP MPs Serpil Kemalbay, Murat Sarısaç, Hüseyin Kaçmaz, Habip Eksik, Nuran İmir, Semra Güzel, Murat Çepni and Hasan Özgüneş was threatened with death by an account named JİTEM.   A criminal complaint was filed for the determination of the owner of the account.    Attorney Bişar Alınak who filed a criminal complaint on behalf of the HDP MPs, said: "It is essential to find the suspect and open a public case. I think that the crime incident is not an individual incident. HDP MPs are targeted systematically. HDP is being marginalized and criminalized. We can face much worse scenerios as a result of this. . The real perpetrator of this crime is those who have demolished the democratic political ground and poision the people with racism.   SARISAÇ: THEY SHOULD LOOK AT OUR HISTORY   Sarısaç who was followed by a car recently said: ""It is not a coincidence that these threats have increased after that incident. Now the account in question sends threatening messages to all our deputies. We understand that these accounts are not troll accounts, they were chosen for this. Those who think that they can intimidate us with social media messages should look at our history."   ÇEPNİ: THESE ARE COUNTERINSURGENCY METHODS   On the other hand, İzmir MP Murat Çepni, who were also sent a threat message, said that the increase of such threats is part of the government's opposition policies.
