	NEWS CENTER - United Nations (UN) Libya Special Representative Ghassan Salame announced that he resigned for reasons of health.

	 

	United Nations (UN) Libya Special Representative Ghassan Salame announced on his Twitter account that he resigned. Salame stated that for two and a half years, he has been trying to bring Libyans together and to resist foreign intervention. Salame announced that he resigned for health reasons.

	 

	Lebanese diplomat Salame was leading Geneva-based negotiations for a permanent solution in Libya.
