25 prisoners sent to Afyon held in oneman cell 2020-02-26 09:28:46 DİYARBAKIR- It was stated that the 25 prisoners who were transferred to Afyon are being held in a oneman cell and that the guards are telling them 'You will never get out of here. You will always be in cells. We'll never transfer you to wards.' 25 prisoners held in Bandırma No 1 and No 2 Type T Prisons were transferred to Afyon Type T Prison while being beaten on the way. It was stated that the 25 prisoners are being subjected to various violations of rights. Songül Kapancı, sister of Mehmet Dağ, one of the prisoners told that his brother told her about the violations of rights.   Kapancı stating that the prisoners were beaten on the way to Afyon prison, said strip search was imposed on the prisoners on their arrival. Kapancı who stated that those who rejected the strip search were battered by the guards. Kapancı also explained that the prisoners clothes were dumped into trash instead of being delivered to them.    Kapancı, stating that the prisoners are undergoing psychological pressure, said the guards told them 'You will never get out of here. You will always be in cells. We'll never transfer you to wards'.   Kapancı calling on to the humans' rights defenders and the Ministry of Justice, said the prisoners are being subjected to violations of rights and their families are concerned about their well being.
