Humanitarian aid sent by HDP to Van stopped by police 2020-02-25 14:26:01   VAN - The humanitarian aid sent by HDP municipalities for the victims of earthquake in Başkale district of Van was stopped by the police and the gendermerie.   The humanitarian aid to be sent to 4 neighborhoods of Başkale district, which was damaged in the 5.9 magnitude earthquake in Xoy, Iran, was stopped by the gendarmerie and police.   The delegation with executives from the People's Democratic Party (HDP), Democratic Society Congress (DTK), Peoples' Democratic Congress (HDK) and Democratic Regions Party (DBP) was stopped near Albayrak Gendarmerie Station. The gendarmerie and police do not allow the passage of 4 trucks loaded with dry food, diapers and tarpaulins.   The delegation of 150 people continues to wait at the police station after the trucks are stopped.   The gendarmerie and police stated that the aid was distributed by AFAD and that the existing material would not be allowed to enter the neighborhoods without being delivered to the coordination, while the delegation insisted on delivering the material to the neighborhood.
