HDP statement for Kavala: Humanity will not forgive those who misuse justice 2020-02-19 18:03:08 ANKARA - Considering the re-arrest of Osman as the the enemy law HDP declared, “Humanity will not forgive those who misuse justice" Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Legal and Human Rights Commission Spokesperson Ayşe Acar Başaran has released a written statement regarding the arrest of business person Osman Kavala, one of the accused of Gezi Trial, after the decision of acquital in Gezi Trial.   DEMİRTAŞ DECISION IS REMINDED Reminding that the application of the enemy law and the justice engineering, which destroys the law system in Turkey was seen in the acquital decision of HDP's former Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş before, the statement includes the following declaration: "Although a decision of acquital was given regarding Selahattin Demirtaş, they delayed the execution of the decision by making up crime with a new investigation file. In Turkey, there is no end limit for the government, who bears a wild grudge and seeks for revenge against Kurds and all opposition. This power has completely lost its public and democratic legitimacy. The pattern that they try to maintain by dominating the jurisdiction and   taking politicians into hostage with various conspiracies is shattered in pieces. Humanity will not forgive those who misuse justice. HE SHALL BE RELEASED IMMEDIATELY This decision on Osman Kavala reinforces the will and determination to fight together of all democracy and peace forces. We ill continue to resist in order for all political hostages to be freed. Osman Kavala shall be released immediately."
