Taken into custody by torture, İrfan Arslan is arrested

	ERZURUM - İrfan Arslan, who was taken into custody by torture in Karayazı, is arrested in the court he was taken.

	İrfan Arslan, his wife Şevin Arslan and his father Halis Arslan were taken into custody in the house raid on February 8 in Çavuş (Cawuş) neighbourhood of Erzurum's Karayazı district.

	It was stated that İrfan Arslan, who was tortured by the police during the house raid, had two ribs broken and there were cuts in the his forehead, nose and skull. It was learned that despite the torture, there was no report of assault given for Arslan at Karayazı State Hospital and Erzurum Regional Training and Research Hospital, in which Arslan was taken after the torture happened.

	In the fourth day of their custody, today the 3 family members have been taken to the Erzurum Court. After giving their statements in the prosecutor's office, İrfan Arslan's case has been referred to the court on charges of "aiding and abeting the organization" as he is arrested on the same charges in the court. Arslan was transferred to Erzurum Closed E-Type Prison.

	His wife Şevin Arslan and his father Halis Arslan was released on judicial control decision.
