An investigation was opened against 400 Kurds living in Germany! 2020-01-15 11:56:05 ANKARA - An Ankara based investigation is claimed to have been launched against those who work in Kurdish associations in Germany. Lawyer Alişan Şahin says the investigation was opened by instruction.   The detentions of the people working in Kurdish associations and non-governmental organizations in Germany continues as a result of the investigation opened by Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Recently, People's Democratic Party (HDP) Şırnak MP Nuran İmir's mother Kadriye İmir was taken into custody in Ankara where she flew from Germany.   Minister of Interrior Süleyman Soylu indicated these investigations, detentions and arrests were on the way in a speech he made on March 3, 2019. Soylu said: "There are those people who attend the meetings of the terror organization in Europe. Then they come to Bodrum, Antalya, Muğla for vacation. We took precautions for them. Let them come and enter our air ports. We'll take them into custody and send them back. It's not that easy. Go be a treator out there and come here enjoy Turkey."   Following the statement of Soylu, Germany Foreign Minister Heiko Maas, stated that the talks continue with Turkey and said: "This is unacceptable and it worries us."      NUMBER OF DETENTIONS INCREASED   According to the report announced on August 2019, the number of German nationals detained in Turkey increased to 62 from 47 in the last 6 months. 38 German citizens were banned from traveling abroad.   Within the scope of the operations based from Ankara, accırding to the opposition party in Germany (Green Party), 59 German nationals are jailed in Turkey.   INVESTIGATION ABOUT 400 PEOPLE   The politicians and lawyers claims that investigations was launched against 400 German citizens in Turkey.    Following the statement made by Minister Soylu, it is estimated that nearly 40 people have been detained in the operations.   It was learned that the German Consulate received information about those who are German citizens in the operations. Germany Consulate while maintaining its silence, especially the Turkish and Kurdish citizens of Germany faces detentions when they come to Turkey.
