
Law suit against 12 students who sang in Kurdish

	ANTALYA - A law suit was filed against 12 students who sang in Kurdish in Newroz Celebrations last year.

	&nbsp;

	Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office prepared an indictment on 12 university students, 4 of whom are incarcerated, including colon cancer patient Devrim Ayık on the allegation of 'being a member of an organization'. The Antalya 10th High Criminal Court, which accepted the indictment, gave a date to 8 January 2020 for the first hearing.

	&nbsp;

	The prosecutor showed the song they sang in Kurdish in Newroz Celebration in 2018 as an evidence to their membership even though the event was permitted by the governor.&nbsp;

	&nbsp;

	The Prosecutor's Office accused the students that they were a member of the Organization, claiming that they were part of the Revolutionary Youth Movement (DGH).&nbsp;
