Law suit against 12 students who sang in Kurdish 2019-12-03 10:42:30 ANTALYA - A law suit was filed against 12 students who sang in Kurdish in Newroz Celebrations last year.   Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office prepared an indictment on 12 university students, 4 of whom are incarcerated, including colon cancer patient Devrim Ayık on the allegation of 'being a member of an organization'. The Antalya 10th High Criminal Court, which accepted the indictment, gave a date to 8 January 2020 for the first hearing.   The prosecutor showed the song they sang in Kurdish in Newroz Celebration in 2018 as an evidence to their membership even though the event was permitted by the governor.    The Prosecutor's Office accused the students that they were a member of the Organization, claiming that they were part of the Revolutionary Youth Movement (DGH).
