New images in Safitürk case: Defendant speaks, prosecutor re-arranges 2019-11-01 10:54:14 MARDİN - The new images of the interrogation of Devran Aslan who is being prosecuted for the murder of Derik Disrict Governer Muhammed Fatih Safitürk surfaced. The images show prosecutor interfering with Aslan, who testifies with a bloody napkin in his hand. District Governer Muhammed Fatih Safitürk who was appointed as a trustee to the Mardin's Derik Municipality was killed as a result of the bomb going off in his chambers on November 10, 2016 and 15 of the 71 people taken into custody as a result of the bombing was arested. The case against the prisoners was finalized by the Mardin 3rd High Criminal Court last year. Gaziantep Regional Appeal Court, which disrupted the decision of the local court, decided to re-try.   The images of Devran Aslan who stated that he testified to the prosecutor with a gun pointed at his head surfaced. In the 50 minute 38 second long video, tha fact that Devran Aslan had been battered  and holding a bloody napkin in his hand attracts attention. Again, Aslan's attorney reflects in the video after a while. It is seen that the prosecutor taking Aslan's statement says that he diposed him without a lawyer present and warns Aslan to say or not say somethings.   Aslan who seems to be forced to memorize what he is supposed to say in the video, stated that he was forced into saying some things in the local courts before. Aslan also said that the police wrote his statement and made him sign it and said: "I was diposed at gun point."   The court did not pass the statements to the hearing on the grounds that the Audio and Video Information System (SEGBİS) system was on record.
