Erdoğan denounces monthly journal's cover saying 'Genocider'

	NEWS CENTER - President Erdoğan filed a criminal complaint about France's Le Point Magazine, which gave the photo of Erdoğan on the cover and wrote “Genocider”. Etienne Gernelle, the director of the magazine, said that they merely told what is happening in North and East Syria.

	AKP President Tayyip Erdoğan filed a criminal complaint against Etienne Gernelle, Editor-in-Chief of France's Le Point magazine and  writer Romain Gubert. Erdoğan's lawyer Hüseyin Aydın filed an 11-page criminal complaint with the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on behalf of his client Erdoğan accusing the two of committing the crime of 'Insulting the president'.

	 

	Etienne Gernelle, Editor-in-Chief of France's Le Point Magazine, explained why they used the photo of Erdoğan on the cover and named it “Genocider”. Gernelle said: "Erdogan is not only a dictator, he is also an annihilate and we are trying to explain this in Le Point magazine this week. Because it is necessary to tell the truth, because, in this regard, a lot of euphemisms are used, the Turkish state says that they are carrying out a military operation against Syria We say tension, conflict, attack, but they are not exactly what's happening. There is no tension, no conflict, there is an operation of ethnic cleansing."
