Second Hearing in Emine Bulut Case 2019-10-21 12:49:28   KIRIKKALE - Kırıkkale Penal Court of Peace has imposed a publication and broadcast ban on the images and videos featuring the feminicide of Emine Bulut, who was stabbed to death by her ex-husband in front of their 10-year old daughter.   The trial of Fedai V., who stabbed his ex-wife Emine Bulut to death in front of their 10-year-old daughther, continues with his second hearing at the Kırıkkale 1st Heavy Penal Court today (October 21).   Opening a banner in front of Kırıkkale Courthouse before the hearing, Women's Defense Network said, "Emine Bulut is our revolt, we want to live."   Pronouncing his opinion as to the accusations in the previous hearing on October 9, the prosecutor demanded that V. be sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment without any sentence reduction.   Today's hearing has been attended by Fedai V., who faces aggravated life sentence on for "premeditated murder with monstrous feeling", the parents and family of Emine Bulut and several lawyers.   Mikail and Bekir Bulut, the arrested brothers of Emine Bulut, has attended the hearing via Audio and Visual Information System (SEGBİS).   While several lawyers from various provinces have intervened in the case, several women from various non-governmental organizations have also followed the hearing. Police have taken security measures inside and outside the courthouse and done identity checks.   The prosecutor has pronounced the opinion as to the accusations, demanding that a public action be taken against defendant Fedai V., no discretionary mitigation be applied, V. be deprived of his certain rights and his arrest continue.   In the hearing held last Friday, the Kırıkkale 1st Civil Court appointed grandfather Ahmet Bulut as a guardian for F.B.V, the 10-year-old daughter of emine Bulut. A lawyer from Kırıkkale Bar Association was also appointed by the court 42 days ago to protect and guarantee the aids granted to her.   Kırıkkale Penal Court of Peace has also imposed a publication and broadcast ban on the images and videos shared on social media and the press regarding the feminicide of Emine Bulut.
