'I couldn't see my son in the same prison'

	SİİRT - 56 year old Reyhan Temel who stayed 102 days behind bars in Siirt with the accusation of 'aiding and abetting an organization' and was released with judicial control, said: "We were so close in prison we could hear each other, but we couldn't see each other."

	Asthma patient Reyhan Temel whose son was killed in the 'Claw operation' in Federated Kurdistan District on May 29, was detained in the bus station while she was coming back from the funeral house on June 11. Temel was referred to court on June 18, and she was arrested because of a picture of her with her son, taken in a festival during the peace process and sent to Siirt Type E Prison. Following a 102 day imprisonment, Temel was released on September 20, with judicial control orders.

	 

	 

	Temel speaking to Mesopotamia Agency (MA), said she couldn't even see her son after his death or attend his funeral.

	 

	 

	Noting that his other son is also jailed for 3 years pending trial, said his 21 year old son is being harassed by the guards in prison and that the guards are threatening hm by saying: "We killed your brother, arrested your mother, now what are you going to do?'

	 

	 

	Temel who was not given her regular medication while  in prison, said: "We were so close with my son that we could almost hear each other. But we could rarely see each other. We wrote letters. This is very ppainful."
