From Mothers of Peace to Barzani: Serve peace, not war

	VAN- Mothers who reacted to the “Claw” operation initiated by TSK against Xakurkê called on Barzani to serve peace, not war.

	Van Peace Mothers Assembly reacted to the “Claw” operation launched by Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) on Xakurkê on 27 May. City MP Muazzez Orhan, HDP, DBP provincial, district organizations and TJA activists participated in the statement made in the garden of HDP provincial building.

	 

	RESPONSE TO BARZANI

	 

	Zekiye Kaya, a member of the Peace Mothers Assembly, made a press statement and asked the TSK to stop its operations. Kaya who also critisized Massoud Barzani's attitude regarding the operation said: "We are calling on Barzani as Van Peace Mothers, open your eyes! You turned your back on your people. You are Kurdish.What is your aim meeting the Turkish government? The Kurdish people is your people.  Enough, end this now and be the ambassador of peace, not war. This war will harm you as well. Open your eyes and be with your people.

	 

	'STOP WAR'

	 

	Barzani should negotiate for peace, not for war, adding Kaya, said: "As a Kurdish mother calling from Van, stop the war".
