Violations in İstanbul elections 2019-06-23 16:05:30 ISTANBUL - There were many election violations in Istanbul, where voting continues. Some people, allegedly from the AKP toured the schools and asked for the list of non-voters from the presiding officers. Voting proceedings continues for Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) presidency elections which were held in Istanbul about three months ago and then renewed after the AKP's objection to the YSK. Election violations occurred in many districts of Istanbul.   Some of the violations since the morning of voting were as follows:   “* In Ümraniye, it is learned that some people allegedly from AKP have visited the schools and asked the presiding officers for a list of non-voters. Thereupon, the HDP and CHP officials in schools warned the officers and minutes were written on the subject.   * In some schools in Ümraniye, İstanbul because of the missing members of the polling committee, the substitute members were taken to the board, sworn in and started to work. Later, it was learned that the original members came later and the first group were dismissed. Lawyers stating that those who started working in the absence of the actual members can not be dismissed and objected.    * Voters were prevented from voting because of a mistake with  the signatures in two ballot boxes at Leman Kaya Primary School in Bostancı, İstanbul. After the lawyers went to school, it was learned that the problem was solved and voters continued to vote.   * 4 pieces of sealed ballots appeared in the 1251 ballot box in Kalkavan Vocational and Technical High School in Beşiktaş district of İstanbul. Minutes were kept for four sealed ballots.   * In the 23 April Primary School in Gaziosmanpaşa district of Istanbul, it was stated that someone who introduced himself as an AKP member was trying to get the presiding officers to sign a paper. Allegedly, the person who introduced himself as an AKP member tried to make them sign the paper and the vote sacks were unsealed.The presiding officers who read the paper stated that the person who introduced himself as an official from the AKP did not tell the truth.   * In Gaziosmanpaşa Vocational Technical and Anatolian High School, the electorate named Rezzanşah Şakır who wanted to vote was prevented by the security forces. Although there was a voter card, it was revealed that Şakır, who was not allowed to vote because there was an annotation at the back of his voter card, had no problems restricting his voting. Şakır reacted to the situation and Gaziosmanpaşa District Election Board has written a request to the ballot box no 3232.   * In Mevlana Anatolian High School in Gaziosmanpaşa district, police tried to remove the school principals from the school yard. Nurhan Tar who presented her papers that show she is an officer, the police said there were orders from the above and removed everyone from the yard.    * Beykoz District Election Board said that the envelopes with the words "Parliamentary Election" written would be valid. During the determination of the situation, it was stated that voting process has started and it is not within the time and opportunity to return to the beginning.   * In Kağıthane Atatürk Primary School, it was claimed that the person who entered the voting booth with their cell phone tried to prevent the members of the board who wanted to make a record of it. Record of the incident was kept.   * It was alleged that a person in Istanbul Avcılar Atatürk Middle School cast votes even though he was not listed. Record of the person's vote was deemed invalid.   * In the Şişli Mustafa Sarıgül Elementary School, a group of AKP members attacked the CHP members shouting  they are traitors. The attackers were taken into custody.   * At the Gülensu Elementary School in Maltepe, a ballot box member representing the AKP was allegedly voting for a voter and then making AKP propaganda saying "They built roads and subways". Minutes were recorded about the member of the ballot box. ”
