
ECHR convicted Turkey in KCK Main Case

	DİYARBAKIR - ECHR convicted Turkey to indemnity regarding the KCK main case for 'prolonged detention' and 'preventing the efective right to defense'.

	&nbsp;

	&nbsp;

	European Court of Human Rights (ECHR)concluded the KCK case where 83 Kurdish politicians detained without being brought before a judge for 18 months, and not being able to effectively appeal due to the confidentiality order &nbsp;for 15 months which caused the 'violation of freedom and security rights'.

	&nbsp;

	ECHR decided that Turkey have violated the provision of Article 5 Clause 4 of the European Convention of Human Rights that regulates the 'right to freedom and security' to a total compensation of 2 thousand 750 Euros.
