ECHR convicted Turkey in KCK Main Case 2019-06-20 10:05:50   DÄ°YARBAKIR - ECHR convicted Turkey to indemnity regarding the KCK main case for 'prolonged detention' and 'preventing the efective right to defense'.     European Court of Human Rights (ECHR)concluded the KCK case where 83 Kurdish politicians detained without being brought before a judge for 18 months, and not being able to effectively appeal due to the confidentiality order  for 15 months which caused the 'violation of freedom and security rights'.   ECHR decided that Turkey have violated the provision of Article 5 Clause 4 of the European Convention of Human Rights that regulates the 'right to freedom and security' to a total compensation of 2 thousand 750 Euros.
