Fire on the historic city walls of Diyarbakir

	DİYARBAKIR - A fire broke out on the historic walls of Diyarbakır which is on  the UNESCO Cultural Heritage List as a result of the bushes being set on fire.

	A fire broke out yesterday in the historic walls of Diyarbakir, which is on UNESCO's World Heritage List. Metropolitan Municipality Fire Brigade Crew responded to the fire on the city Walls which is being destroyed in scope of the construction of the 'National Gardens'. The fire was started by some unidentified people setting the bushes on fire, left unattended because of the construction of the national gardens construction.

	After the extinguishing of the fire, the teams worked on cooling the historic walls for a while.

	 

	Fire-related investigation was initiated.
