On watch in Diyarbakır while her son is in another city's prison

	DİYARBAKIR - Families who came to follow up on the treatment process of their sons and daughters who were on hunger strike or in death fast in Gazi Yaşaril Education and Reseach Hospital, are acoompanied by other families whose children are prisoners in Samsun, Kayseri and Ankara.

	The hunger strikes and the death fasts were called of with the message PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan sent from İmralı via his attorneys.After the end of the action, prisoners on hunger strikes started to be referred to hospitals or being treated in prison campuses.

	 

	 

	The nervous wait in front of the Diyarbakır Gazi Yaşargil Education and Research Hospital where the prisoners from Diyarbakır Type D Prison were transfered to, continues.

	 

	 

	One of the mothers, Şehriban Uyanık (47) said her daughter Leyla Uyanık (25) and her brother Hasan Uyanık (25) have been on hunger strike for 87 days. Uyanık said her brother is in Kayseri, Bünyan No 1 Type T Closed Prison for 5 years and was sentenced to aggravated life, while her daughter Leyla Uyanık is in Sİncan Women's Closed Prison for 4 years and was sentenced to 19 years.

	 

	 

	46 year old Şehriban Uyanık who stated that they were late to act after the hunger strikes began, apologized from her children for that. Uyanık who spoke about the process, said they lost time deciding whether to go in front of the prison or somewhere else. Uyanık who stated that, later they decided to go to Ankara to see the Minister of Justice, which they held responsible, said they were stopped by the police before they made it to Ankara. Uyanık who stated that they wanted to relay the demands to the minister themselves, said they decided to go out on the streets after they were prevented from seeing the Minister of Justice.

	 

	 

	Uyanık who reminded that her brother is in Kayseri and her daughter is in Ankara, said the prisoners in Diyarbakır is her children too, and they are waiting there for them to hear their voices and keep their spirits up and that they will wait there until the treatment is over.
