'We will be following up on the treatments of the hunger strikers' 2019-05-27 11:39:21 ADANA - İHD Central Prison Monitoring Commission spokesman İlhan Öngör said that they would follow the treatments of hunger strikers. Ilhan Öngör, spokesman for the Human Rights Association (İHD) Center Prison Monitoring Commission and Adana Branch President, made evaluations on hunger strikes and death fasts that were terminated with the call of PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan.   Öngör who stated that they hope that the emphasis of the solution orianted approach to the expansion of democratic politics in Turkey of Öcalan will lead to the beginning of a process for the Middle East peace, said this emerging approach must be claimed by the political actors. Öngör said: "Our basic demand as the humans' rights defenders is the expansion and development of democratic politics. Peace can only flourish in an environment like this."     Öngör stated that the removal of the isolation, which has been in contradiction with the legislation and international universal law principles for 8 years, is conducive to the environments where democracy and peace can be talked again. Öngör said: "Peace and democracy emerged from the 8 years of isolation. This is the valuable thing.The democratic and peaceful solution of the Kurdish question and the equal brotherhood of the people of Turkey and Mesopotamia is they key to an equal life."     Öngör who stated that they worked a lot in the hunger strike action process, said: " We will continue to treat the activists in a healthy way and to follow the actions of the prison administrators."
