Mother of Fidan who is on hunger strike: I'll be out on the streets despite the threat of the police 2019-05-23 10:59:40 MERSİN - Besna Fidan, mother of Rıdvan Fidan who is on hunger strike for 84 days demanding the removal of the isolation, said she will be our on the streets despite the threat of the police to make the voice of his son heard. Rıdvan Fidan who is being kept at Kırıkkale Type F Closed Prison, is on hunger strike demanding the end of the continued isolation in İmralı.     Fidan was taken under custody and got arrested with the accusation of 'being a member of an illegal organization' and sentenced to 14 years and 7 months.Mother Besna Fidan who visited her son on May 17, said the prisoners are vomitting blood and they are in a bad condition.      Mother Fidan who said her son have lost 17 kilos, said both her son and the other prisoners told her that their only choice is to break the isolation and they will continue their hunger strike action no matter what. Fidan said: "Mr. Öcalan should be able to see his family and lawyers.As a mother I don't want anyone to die.We don't want the lifeless bodies of our children, I want to embrace them knowing that they are healthy."   Fidan who stated she attends the demonstrations for her son and she was called into the police station for deposition, said despite the insults and the threats of the police, she will keep doing so.
