Topkaya on death fast: Those who remain silence in the face of this tyranny is an accomplice 2019-05-17 16:33:37 DÄ°YARBAKIR - Ahmet Topkaya who is on a death fast for 18 days in Diyarbakır Type D Prison, emphasizing that isolation is everybody's problem, said: "You can't live in peace with tyranny. Those who remain silence in the face of tyranny, is an accomplice."   The letter Topkaya sent to e-rojname is as follows:    "I am sending my love to you all in the name of all my resisting comrades. We commemorate the sons and daughters of the valiant people who lost their lives for a free and prosperous Kurdistan, and want for all to know that we will claim their memories at all costs. The purpose of our calls is to make everyone understand our death fast.   Isolation is not the problem of our mothers who got beaten and insulted at the prison gates alone. It is the problem of all those who define themselves socialists, democrats, leftists. Isolation undermines the will of millions of people and nullifies them. The continuation of the isolation means the annihilation of the common democratic values. Remainin unresponsive to the isolation means to legitimize the massacres and oppression thoughout the history of the republic. You can't live in peace with tyranny. Those who remain silence in the face of tyranny, is an accomplice.       We have unfinished business with those who deemed tears proper for our mothers on the mothers day. The youth of Kurdistan have and will call them to account. In the past, the Kurdish youth did not succumb to fascism, and today it will not be subdued. Surely resistance will determine the final result. How in Kobane, Cizre, Sur were won with resistance, the name of the victory today is resistance. Our people today ordered us to assume a historic responsibility. We will fulfill our duty with historical responsibility.     THE OATH OF THE RESISTING KURD     The 21st century is the century of the free Kurd that witnessed many heroes along the way. Everyone should know that history never hesitated to pass judgement. Today, those who do not fullfill their historic responsibilities, will be brought to account by the history.Choosing a life of honor rather than living in shame and doom is the necessity of being human. It will be the oath of the Kurds who resisted to demolish fascism with determination to have victory!"
