
Öcalan's lawyer Bilmez: No positive or negative responses to our applications

	İSTANBUL - Attorney İbrahim Bilmez from Asrın Law Office, stating that non of their applications made after May 2 was responded, posivitely or negatively, said: "Because our applications was not responded, our demands have been rejected implicitly.&nbsp;

	Attorney Bilmez, stating that the Mİnister Gül's statement is not new, said: "The statement the minister made is not new. We already knew that they removed the illegal ban on April 17 and we shared it with the public. The meeting we have made on May 2 was made due to that decision. &nbsp;We are making daily applications to see our client.What matters is that if we will be able to visit our client since there is no ban.Like I said, what matters is their response to our applications. We just want the law to be applied.

	Bilmez assesed the CPT visit to İmralı and said: "CPT did not have a plan in their schedule to visit Turkey in 2019. But it seems that the urgency in the health of the hunger strikers and the death fasts forced the CPT to be activated. Although it is a late step, we welcome it. Probably the CPT met our client Mr. Abdullah Öcalan. But we'll have to wait until we've been able to publish his observation report on this visit so that we can learn about their observations there."
