'We are in this struggle to live and let live'

	DİYARBAKIR - Burhan Şık who turned his hunger strike into a death fast in Patnos Type L Closed Prison,stating that he is in this struggle to live and let live, said: "I will continue my struggle until the isolation is removed."

	15 prisoners started a death fast on April 30 in 4 different prisons demanding the end of the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan. A new group have joined the death fast action on May 10 with the same demand. One of those prisoners is Burhan Şık (31). Şık who joined the hunger strike action on March 1, turned the hunger strike to a death fast on his 70th day.

	 

	Ferhan Şık who visited his son on May 8 and spoke to him on the phone in May 14, said his son have lost 18 kilos. Şık who stated that his son's morale is high, said he congatulated his son's struggle and wished him luck. Mother Şık said: "My son told me 'Mon, I can risk anything for my struggle and I will continue to do so. We are here to live and let live. I took my place in this struggl to let people live. I hope the people will claim our resistance and we can let the people live a tomorrow filled with freedom. The attorneys visited Mr. Öcalan on May 2 but that did not continue. No one shall think that they can fool us. Either he has his right for regular visitations with his family and lawyers, or we will not end our strike."
