Prisoner on hunger strike for 69 days vomiting blood 2019-05-08 11:01:50 ADANA - Sick prisoner Hadi Elçiçek who is on hunger strike in Tarsus Prison for 69 days, stated that he started vomitting blood but they will not give up their resistance even if there is death at the end. 51 years old Hadi Elçiçek who has a heart condition, is on hunger strike for 69 days demanding the isolation in İmralı to be terminated. Elçiçek spoke to his son on May 6, clarifying that they are in critical condition.     'VICTORY IS CLOSE'    Serkan Elçiçek said his father told him 'Our morale is high. Some friends are in critical condition. Some of our friends have been vomitting blood including me. We will have victory no matter the price is. We will not give up our hunger strike before the aggravated isolation is removed. We will succeed resisting. Victory is close. Be our voices so that we can win the victory together. 15 of our friends are on a death fast in the dungeons. The isolation must be removed before more people die. Our hunger strike action will continue even there is death at the end.   VOMITTING BLOOD   Elçiçek who stated that prisoners are brought to the visitation room with the help of the guards, said that guards wait by them during the visit and record what is being said. Elçiçek who stated that his father and the other prisoners are not doing good, said: "My father have lost a great deal of weight. He is vomitting blood. He is deteriorating on a daily basis. He has a heart condition. We are concerned about his life."   Elçiçek who stated that they don't want to see more people dying, said: 'The isolation must be terminated.'
