Mother waiting a watch in Gebze Prison: Being close to my daughter breaths life into me 2019-04-30 10:52:23 İSTANBUL - Hatice Söyler, mother of Özlem Söyler who is on hunger strike for 136 days in Gebze Prison, is waiting a watch in front of Gebze Prison to be close to her daughter. Söyler who stated that being closed to her daughter breathes life into her, said: "We will not give the hope of our children staying alive." We knew them with the watch they wait in front of Gebze Prison that they started after visiting their children. They came togerther in front of the prison with white muslins on their heads when they could not take that fact that their children are wasting away. They are afraid they could recieve bad news any moment. One of the mothers Hatice Söyler who is waiting her watch against all oppression and detentions fro 21 days is 55 years old. Söyler is in Gebze to support her dagther who is on hunger strike since December 16,2018. She came from İzmir 2 month ago.   Mother Söyler verbalized her concern about her daughter's health, and said: "I wait here to be able to see her every week. I am so scared something might happen to her.I am concerned about her life."     It is possible to see the joy in her eyes with the hope calling out to her daughter outside of the prison.Söyler says: "We are mothers. We can stay anywhere as long as our children are alive.As long as we can keep them alive. As long as we can be their voice. Being able to be their voice gives us hope.If anything should happen to her, I would die as well. All mothers here feel the same way."
