Barış: The objective of the signers is freedom to Öcalan

	İSTANBUL - HDP Vice President Azad Barış who emphasized the importance of the 51 Nobel Price winners who initiated a petition for the freedom of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, said: "The freedom of Öcalan is the first step towards the peace in Middle East.

	The petition a group calling themselves the 'friends of the Kurdish People' initiated for the freedom of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan in many places in Europe continues.

	 

	51 Nobel Price winners supported the campaign and it is expected to spread in the upcoming days. While People's Democratic Party supports the camaing from day one, Nobel Price winners sat in the meetings.

	 

	 

	 

	Barış who stated that in order to end the hunger strikes, the government needs to assume responsibility, emphasized that the government should not do this as a favor.Barış who stated that the government should act upon their responsibilities in order to end the hunger strikes, said: "This issue will not end when the hunger strikes are over.This is a humane call. All the signers are making this call. This is not just a petition aiming to end the hunger strikes.This is a campaign where people expecting the freedom of Öcalan initiated. A final solution is needed.The signers demand the government must sit and negotiate with Abdullah Öcalan. Because this demand is against the war and destruction."
