14 prisoners in Urfa Prison who are on hunger strike for 112 days are at the threshold of death

	URFA - İHD Prisons Commission member Attorney Mustafa Vefa who stated that the 14 prisoners who are on hunger strike or 112 days in Urfa T1, T2 and Siverek Prisons are at the threshold of death.Vefa, stating that prisoners are experiencing memory loss, kidney failure,weight loss, said 'The seconds count'.

	 

	 

	Sinan Çiçek, Ali Erden, Rıza Yüksekbağ, Muhammed İlgün, Enver Kanmaz, Uğur Toğyıldız, Selman Büyüktop, Ömer Kaya, Mahmut Öngör, Sabiha Önder, Sunay Yaman, Sozdar Çiçek, Ayten Tikit and Serhat Yıldız who started the hunger strike on January 5 are deteriorating fast in Urfa T1, T2 and Siverek prisons.

	 

	 

	Humans' Rights Association (İHD) Prisons Commission member and Urfa Branch Co-chair Attorney Mustafa Vefa briefed about the prisoners who are on hunger strike for 112 days.Vefa said some prisoners can not even stand up and most of them are experiencing memory loss, spitting blood and not able to speak. Vefa who stated that all prisoners have lost a great deal of weight, drew attention to the life risk of the prisoners who started the hunger strike on January 5 and called for sensitivity.

	 

	Vefa said: "Everytme we visit them we see that they are having difficlty in walking, some of them can not make it to the visitation room. They have difficulty in rememberng us.Vefa called for awareness and sensitivity stating that every minute counts.
