'I couldn't recognize my son when I saw him' 2019-04-20 09:38:27 MERSİN- Cevher Bozkurt, father of Vedat Bozkurt who is on hunger strike for 106 days in Ordu Type T CLosed Prison, said 'I could't recognize my son when I saw him'. Vedat Bozkurt who is on hunger strike for 106 days, demanding the termination of the isolation on PKK Leader Adbullah Öcalan in Ordu Type T Closed Prison, is detoriorating day by day.Vedat Bozkurt has a 12 year sentence and is in prison since 2011.     Cevher Bozkurt who visited his son on April 8, told taht he could not recognize his son and was very effected by that. Bozkurt said: "My son an his friends have lost a lot of weight.About 15-16 kilograms. They could not even stand up. Their morale was high.He has 4 other friends in the same group continuing their hunger strikes with him. One of them lacked an arm. They were not doing so well."     Bozkurt who told about the moment he saw his son, said: "I could not recognize them when they entered the room. I was very effected by their condition and I turned my back. His mother was with me. He told us not to come see him if we behave like this. He was talking slowly."   Bozkurt said his son told him 'We mean to break this isolation and free our leader. All of our people should stand up. That's the only way to end this isolation. We are determined to do so no matter what.   Bozkurt who called on tu the government to take immediate action regarding the hunger strikes, said: "They should prevent people from dying. Enough is enough."
