Mother whose son on hunger strike: I am as hungry as he is 2019-04-17 10:18:39 ANTEP- Sekina Yalçın whose son is on hunger strike for 48 days, says: "He is always on my mind. I can not sleep. I constantly think about him. I am as hungry as he is in there."   Lokman Yalçın (27) who is on hunger for 48 days in Mardin Type E Closed Prison against the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, have served 5 years of the 7,5 year sentence. Sekina Yalçın stated that her son have lost 5 kilograms and he keeps detoriorating. Mother Yalçın who says she can't stop thinking about her son, said 'We want the isolation to be terminated and this process to end before more people die. Enough is enough."   Mother Yalçın who stated that she saw her son a while ago, said: "Even though he was physically in a bad shape, he was feeling up. They all were. They cheered us up. The isolation on Abdullah Öcalan must be removed at once. That's what we want as well. Out youth is dying. Our people should not stay silent facing that fact. If the people raise their voices, the government will have to act. I asked him how long will this go on. He told me they will end the hunger strike when the isolation on Abdullah Öcalan is terminated for good."   Yalçın added: "I can't stop thinking about him. He is always on my mind. I can not sleep. I constantly think about him. I am as hungry as he is in there. I can feel his  hunger from here. The state never thinks about the Kurdish. That's why they don't do anything."
