Journalist Evren who is on hunger strike for 122 days, was not released again 2019-04-16 12:26:43 DİYARBAKIR- Journalist Kibriye Evren who is on hunger strike for 122 days in Diyarbakır Type E Prison, was not released again. The 4th hearing of the case where journalist Kibriye Evren who was arrested in scope of an operation conducted in 9 cities including Diyarbakır on October 9, 2018 where 142 people including journalists and politicians were taken under custody, was held in Dİyarbakır 5th Criminal Court today. Evren who joined the hunger strike initiated by DTK Co-chair Leyla Güven on December 16, did not attend the hearing while her attorneys Resul Tamur and Pirozhan Karali were ready at court. Evren's co-workers and family also attended the hearing.   The court decided cintinuation of detention and postponed the hearing to May 7.
