
'We shed a tear every time we take a bite'

	ADANA- Mahbube Acun, mother of 22 year old Süleyman Acun who is on hunger strike, said: "We shed a tear every time we take a bite" and demanded the isolation to be terminated.

	&nbsp;

	Süleyman Acun who is a prisoner in İzmir, Ödemiş Type T Closed Prison, is on hunger strike since March 1 demanding the termination of the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan. Acun is one of the 7 children of the family who had to migrate to Adana from Mardin, Dargeçit because the the oppression imposed by the state.

	&nbsp;

	Acun who has been incarcerated since 2016, told his family he last saw on April 3: "We are resisting. We will keep struggling until our demands are met. You should &nbsp;be our voices out there."

	&nbsp;

	Mother Mahbube Acun, stated that both his son and the other hunger strikers have lost a great deal of weight and not able to stand anymore but their morale is high. Mother Acun sstated that they are too on hunger strike with their son and said: "We shed a tear everytime we take a bite. Our people should stand up. The isolation must be removed, the hunger strikes must end."
