HDP met with CPT Delegation about the isolation 2019-04-12 13:14:08 NEWS DESK- HDP Delegation consisting of HDP Batman Deputy Feleknas Uca and European Council Representative Fayik Yağız had a meeting with CPT officials about the isolation and the hunger strikes in Strasburg. The HDP delegation held a meeting in Strasbourg, France with the officials of the Committee of the Prevention of Torture (CPT) of the Council of Europe (EC) in order to convey requests about the immediate removal of isolation in Imrali and to draw attention to hunger strikes. HDP Batman Deputy Feleknas Uca and HDP Council of Europe Representative Fayik Yagizay took part in the delegation.   Fayik Yagizay who gave information after the meeting, said he conveyed the Kurdish people's criticism of the CPT and their call to the authorities.  Mr. Yagizay stated that he reminded the CPT officials of the demand of the termination of the isolation which lead to the hunger strike started with the leadership of DTK Co-chair Leyla Güven and the thousands of political prisoners.   CPT OFFICIALS FOUND THE CRITISIM 'UNJUST'   According to the information HDP European Representative Yağızay gave, CPT found the critisim about them 'unjust'. CPT officials who defended themselves by saying they are trying to create permanent solutions about the violations of rights and freedoms in Turkey, said they are in constant contact with the authorities of the Turkey State.
