5 brothers resisting in 3 different prisons 2019-04-05 10:15:21   HAKKARİ-  5 brothers between the ages of 20 and 31 are on hunger strike demanding the termination of the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan in 3 different prisons. Their parents Ahmet and Şermin Ertunç who say they are not able to eat while they are hungry, said immediate steps must be taken regarding the isolation.   The hunger strike intiated by Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair and People's Democratic Party (HDP) Hakkari Deputy Leyla Güven is continuing with the participation of thousands of political prisoners.   Fırat (31), Murat (30), Ali (25), Recep (24) ve Ferhat Ertunç (20) brothers are among the hunger strikers in 3 different prisons.   5 brothers who have been in different prisons in different times, haven't seen eachother since 2008.   Their parents Şermin and Ahmet Ertunç who are on alert, are getting more concerned with every death occuring in prisons and are expecting steps to be taken immediately.   Father Ertunç stated that the sentence of his sons equals to 81 years.   'THEY ARE IN PRISON BECAUSE THEY ARE KURDISH'   Father Ertunç who stated that his sons are in prison because they are honourable men and Kurdish, said: "They did not commit any crimes. They haven't held a pocket knife, let alone guns. Their demands are our demands. We will be with them until the end. We don't want funerals coming out of prisons. We live for our sons."   Mother Şermin Ertunç who have been on the way for visitations for 11 years, said: "We are with our children to our lost drop of blood. The Kurdish community cannot be finished with imprisonment or by killing."   Ertunç who stated that they spoke to their son Fırat on the phone lately, said: "They told me they will continue the hunger strike to the end and they will most certainly win. He told me he has difficulty in seeing and that his legs started to hurt. We can not eat, we can not sleep when they are hungry. We will be behind them always."   Ertunç couple made a call to the society and wanted them to act now regarding the isolation and the hunger strike.
