Will the ÖSO members be placed at the camp in Midyat? 2019-03-12 12:17:26 MARDİN- According to the claims, 3 thousand 500 ÖSO members will be placed in Midyat Refugee Camp even though it was closed last year.HDP Deputy Tuma Çelik who brought the subject to the parliament, said: "Turkey is trying to transfer the groups they trusted in İdlib to Turkey."   Debate continues on the fate of Midyat Refugee Camp, which is one of the the five refugee camps closed on 31 August last year by the General Directorate of Migration Management under the Ministry of the Interior where Yezidi's used to stay. It is said that the camp, which is claimed to be used as a military training zone, will be turned into the headquarters of the members of the Free Syrian Army (ÖSO) after the military operation planned to be carried out in the North Syrian Federation.   It is still not clear why the site studies and renewal work in the camp were made.    One of the followers of the subject,People's Democratic Party (HDP) Mardin deputy Tuma Çelik brought the  public concerns about the matter into parliament. Çelik tabled a parliamentary question for Minister of Interrior Süleyman Soylu to answer. 'Are the rumours about 3 thousand 500 militants to be placed in Midyat true?'   Çelik who said 'President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar say that they will intervene in Northern Syria. We are concerned that the fact that FSA militants will be relocated to the region may be related to this. We think this camp is  intended for a future intervention. We think that Turkey is trying to transfer the groups they trusted in idlib, to Turkey." Çelik who stated that they will follow up about the subject matter, said: "We dissapprove that those groups who intervene in the civil war in Syria and do not fight for the interest of the people to be moved to Midyat and we will do our best to keep that from happening."
