Peace Mothers: The doors of İmralı must open before anyone dies 2019-03-11 13:11:02   DİYARBAKIR- Peace Mothers who reacted to the silence of the government towards the hunger strikes that was initiated to protest the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan,said: "The doors of İmralı must be opened before anyone dies".     The hunger strike initiated by Democratic Society Congress Co-chair (DTK) and People's Democratic Party (HDP) Hakkari Deputy Leyla Güven have spreaded to all prisons since March 1. The hunger strike of  HDP represantative Nasır Yağız in Federal Kurdistan District is on its 11st day, the hunger strikes of the politicians and journalists in Strasburg and imam Şiş from Galler is on their 85th day while the hunger strike of the first group of the political prisoners are on their 86th day.   Mother Sabahat Balkaya who drew attention to the fact that the hunger strike is spreading and expanding, said: "The silence increases the pressure in the dungeons. Those people are on a hunger strike for all of us. Because isolatin is a crime against humanity no matter who is being imposed to it and it is unaccaptable. Everyone will be responsible if someone dies of hunger strike in the prisons. The only demand of us mothers is the termination of the isolation."   A SOLUTION MUST BE DISCUSSED   Mother Raife Özbey who drew attention to the fact that the hunger strikers are in critical condition now and that their demands must be met at once, said: "The doors to İmralı must be opened before someone dies. The solution must be discussed." Özbey who criticized the silence of the society and the government, said: "If a coffin gets out of the prisons tomorrow, it is not good for us as well as it is not good for Turkey. Leyla Güven is the deputy of this country and of this parliament.Why is the government so silence about a deputy?"
